Como ya les conté, me gustan los bordados grandes, esos que toman meses para terminarlos! En este caso les muestro un trabajo bastante antiguo: un centro de mesa que hice en el 2001.
Este centro de mesa está hecho sobre una tira de tela aída, en cuyos extremos bordé frutas y flores en "positivo" y "negativo". En realidad, la idea de usar los mismos colores en "negativo" devino de probar algo diferente... no sé cuán realista quedó, pero fue muy divertido intentarlo. ¿Qué opinan?
As I mentioned on previous posts, I like big embroideries, those that take months to complete! Here you can see an old piece: a table center I embroidered back in 2001.
This table center consists on a long piece of aida where I stitched flowers and fruits on "positive" and "negative" colors. Actually, the idea of using the same colors on "negative" came from the need of trying something different.... I'm not sure how "realistic" it looks, but I had a great time doing it. What do you think?
